
AACTFest '09 - Tacoma is proud to introduce to you the next of four accomplished colleagues who will be serving as adjudicators in June of 2009. Bring on Morrie!
Morrie Enders is the Artistic Director of Kalamazoo Civic Theatre in Michigan, where his artistic talent and success as a team builder is evidenced by standing room only, critically acclaimed, and commercially successful projects. He recently directed the community theatre pilot production of Avenue Q. Morrie served as Artistic/Managing Director of La Crosse Community Theatre (LCCT) in Wisconsin for 18 years. During his tenure there, Morrie directed over 90 plays and led LCCT to receive numerous awards at the state, regional, and national levels of AACTFest. His production of Cotton Patch Gospel placed third in the national AACTFest ’97 and traveled to Heidelberg, Germany to showcase in the AACT Region X Festival. The Fantasticks represented the United States at the First Yakumo International Theatre Festival in Japan, receiving the People’s Choice Award. Morrie has presented workshops on directing, musical theatre direction, and media relations, and he facilitated AACT’s 2007 Community Theatre Management Conference. He was honored to be a Guest Artist with Osugi Music Theatre in Japan last year. As an adjudicator, Morrie has worked on the state and regional levels. He has served on the AACT board as Region III Representative and Vice President for Membership. He continues to serve on the Membership Committee, orchestrating the Act Locally, AACT Nationally program. Morrie is a musical theatre recording collector and sometime New York City tour guide.
