Mary Britt is a Florida native and a graduate of the University of Florida. She has been on staff at Ocala Civic Theatre since 1987 and has served as its Executive Director since 1993. Experienced as an actor, technician, and administrator, Britt appreciates the value of the contributions by all members of a theatre company. She has been active on both the state and national levels and currently serves on the board of the Florida Theatre Conference. In addition, she is a Past President of the American Association of Community Theatre and was named an AACT Fellow in 2003. She has been appointed to serve on grant review panels by the Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs on several occasions. In 1997, Mary received a Distinguished Career Award from the Florida Theatre Conference and in 2006 was recognized as one of the “10 Women To Watch” by Life in the Heart of Florida magazine. Her adjudication career began in April 1997 with the Region V Festival in Fargo, North Dakota. Since that time, she has served as a theatre adjudicator for state and regional festivals, and three times for the US Army's outstanding festival in Heidelberg, Germany. A sought after adjudicator, Mary enjoys the varied experiences, noting “As an adjudicator, I have been honored to view many outstanding performances, including new works and new approaches to familiar titles.”

Meet the Adjudicators Part One: Mary Britt
AACTFest '09 - Tacoma is proud to introduce to you the first of four accomplished colleagues who will be serving as adjudicators in June of 2009. Ladies First!
